Employee Spolight

We're putting the spotlight on Davis Bryant at River Landing Builders! He has worked with MFV since 2015 when he was a golf cart attendant at River Landing at just 15 years old. Since then he has also worked as a food runner at Mad Boar Restaurant & Pub, at Village Store & Subs, and participated in a hospitality management internship at River Landing. In his current role, he serves as a procurement manager and project manager where his responsibilities include estimating the amount of materials needed for a job site, gathering quotes, and overseeing houses under construction. When asked what his favorite part of his job has been Davis said, "Getting to learn new things and understanding the process of building a home. At MFV you're more than an employee, you're family and you can't find that at a lot of places now, and it means a lot."

Davis is originally from Wallace and attended Hampden-Sydney College where he gained a bachelor's degree in economics and business. In his free time, he enjoys deer, duck, and turkey hunting, golfing, and going fishing.

Safety First

How to Fight Fatigue

Over the years we have created habits, some good and some not so good.  Maybe this would be a good time to do a personal check up on yourself.

Do you:

  • Get side tracked or lose focus when working?

  • Make more errors or drop things?

  • Feel weak or sluggish?

If any of your answers were yes, it’s time for a personal check up!

Are you:

  • Eating healthy foods?

  • Exercising on a weekly basis?

  • Scheduling work to prevent overload?

  • Getting plenty of time off from work?

  • Sleeping at least 8 hours per night?

  • Going to your doctor for regular checkups?

If any of your answers were no, it’s time to make some lifestyle changes!

Congratulations to the Clubhouse Food & Beverage staff who received gifts for achieving 5 years of safety! Great job team!
