Please mark your calendars for River Landing’s Annual Holiday Gala, Friday, December 9th in the Clubhouse
Ballroom! Entertainment from last year is back by popular demand, The Party Nuts.

The Holiday Gala is accompanied by a silent auction each year in which proceeds are given to a local charity chosen by
the Murphy Family. This year we are pleased to announce the recipient will be the Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries.
DCOM is a non-profit organization (501c 3 - donations are deductible) started in 2005 to assist families in crisis. When
an unexpected situation occurs which is outside the control of the client, assistance may be given for utilities, housing,
food, clothing, prescriptions and transportation. Clients are required to participate in the bill payment to the extent that
they are able.

The success of any auction is largely dependent on the items up for bidding. We hope that our River Landing
community will help with this effort. Be thoughtful and creative: vacation homes, theater or sports tickets, gift certificates
(purchased or donated by restaurants, hair salons, hotels that you frequent), dinner parties, home cooked
desserts, cases of wine, artwork, theme baskets, pet care, services (interior design, taxes, wills etc.), decorative items,
golf paraphernalia, holiday decorations, handy man services, hand-made items etc. In the past years our residents have
been generous to the auction and we trust that spirit will continue.

The solicitation effort is in need of help. Please consider volunteering to be on the committee. To obtain donor forms,
volunteer to help, or have questions answered please contact Sabrina Lewis, Activities Director, at 910-285-1015 or
